I have over 26 years of experience in the traditional art of thatching, having worked in both the New Forest, and more recently in East Devon.
As a proud member of the National Society of Master Thatchers, and Devon & Cornwall Master Thatcher Association, I take great pride in my work and have worked with a variety of materials from water reed to combed wheat reed and long straw.

It was a privilege to be invited to discuss my career in thatching for the August edition of the Whimple news.
The renovation of this beautiful property in West Hill is now complete with the addition of a new thatched roof.
A job we finished back in May. We re-thatched the small lower section and then placed a flush ridge on the property.![]()
The customer also wanted a fat cat on the roof in memory of their beloved pet.
